I spend 1 day (traveling), and 3 additional days in Blue, Arizona for an event by The Strenuous Life, a club created by founder of the Art of Manliness site, Brett McKay.
The event was the 1st annual Southwest Festival of Strenuousity, and was intended for us to challenge ourselves to practice/learn a variety of new skills and connect with other men in the great outdoors.
I'd say it was a successful event. Our days were packed with great learning and it was a very fun experience overall. We practiced knot tying, first aid, marksmanship, cooked campfire bread (ash/fire cakes), practiced scout techniques/competed in agility events, hiked, and much more.
